our story

The Wish You Were Here Group is intrinsically tied to beach culture. Our own hospitality histories began in the Northern beaches of Sydney and our branding and identity from the very first Ruby’s have aimed to bring this laidback Australian beachside ethos to the US hospitality scene.

Our menu items are named after iconic Sydney beaches and our signature Bronte Burger (Bronte beach) has consistently been included in iconic lists by Zagat and Thrillist of the best burgers in New York City. Everything we do, from service to design to the menu, is intended to replicate the carefree beachside living ethos we know so well.
